Pirates and Patches -- The Perfect Combination!

Pirates and Patches -- The Perfect Combination!

Ahoy, matey! Are you ready for Talk Like a Pirate Day?

It’s September 19. Be prepared to hear a lot of “arrr”-ful jokes. (Example: What’s a pirate’s favorite letter of the alphabet? The “C,” of course!)

It’s a fun day, one that allows for some genuine silliness and entertainment. And that’s a great thing. It’s a chance to express your inner Jack Sparrow, Anne Bonny or even Jimmy Buffett.

No matter what day of the year it is, there’s a special occasion of some sort. Some serious, some funny, some just plain weird. All are an opportunity to celebrate your individuality, and sometimes your group identity at the same time.

Guess what? Custom patches work exactly the same way. They’re an ideal means to promote your opinion. You can make a political statement, tell a joke, comment on society or just identify yourself via patches. And no, we’re not talking about a pirate’s eye patch.

Pirates tend to be outspoken. No matter whether you’re a an outgoing raconteur or a quieter, deliberative type, custom patches give you the chance to be just as outspoken.

(What’s a pirate’s favorite Steely Dan song? “Peg.”)

See, the great thing about patches is that you can say anything you want, as long as it fits on the patch. Make a statement on your jacket, jeans, vest, backpack or shirt. Tell the world what you stand for (not “stand and deliver,” we hope).

(How do pirates know they are pirates? They think, therefore they Arrrr!)

Your custom patches can show the name of your ship, the Jolly Roger, a treasure chest, or any other insignia you desire. Be bold, state your case and your ideas won’t walk the plank into obscurity!

(OK, fine, we’re really pushing the pirate metaphors here.)

Look, you don’t have to be a pirate to talk like one. And you don’t have to be one to order great looking custom patches either. Choose your colors, choose your style, and set sail for adventure.

(Last one, we promise: Why did no one play cards with the pirate? Because he was standing on the deck!)
