When You Want A Patch to be LOUD

When You Want A Patch to be LOUD

Published Dec 9, 2021 by Rick Cundiff

Some days, I just need a little dose of peace and quiet.

That’s not always easy to find, between work, family and the general noise and bustle of the city. So sometimes it comes in the form of sitting in my car in a quiet parking lot on my lunch hour.

Windows down. Radio off. Shut the engine off. Ah. A little oasis for an hour or so.

Yet other times, I enjoy the noise, the hustle, the restlessness of the city traffic. Those are the days my foot presses down a little bit harder on the accelerator. Hit the window switches to put ‘em down, crank up the radio and sing along on “Don’t Stop Believin’.”  Turn that amp up to 11, baby!

So it is in the world of custom patches as well. For some purposes, a small, simple “quiet” patch is ideal. Name patches, single word patches and the like are popular for many applications.

On the other hand, sometimes you need LOUD. There are ways to stand out, to make your brand or logo impossible to miss. And it doesn’t have to be about patch size.

Of course, bigger is always more dramatic, and the bigger the patch, the more detail the design can accommodate. But that’s not the only way to make noise.

Color is one great way to get attention. We provide up to seven thread colors free, and can add more for a slight additional charge.

Or you can up the game even more with metallic thread and neon thread. If you want bright, bold colors that really stand out, this is the way to go.

For added detail for any given patch size, choose woven patches instead of embroidered. Made with thinner thread, they allow greater detail and increased legibility at smaller patch sizes.

Want still more detail? Go for PVC patches, custom imprinted instead of sewn. Bright, bold, big—or small – they’re impossible to miss.
